Rostock & Warnemünde - How it was to live in East-Germany

Had an amazing day today with Antje. She was warm, welcoming and so easy to travel and converse with. I found this to be the most interesting and personal of tours. We wandered near the cruise port and then to the train and tram to Rostock. This city is lovely and has so many interesting things. We’ve seen a lot of churches, but St Mary’s was truly fascinating. The astronomical clock is so detailed and the organ is just beautiful. If you find yourself in the area, time with Antje would be time well spent.

Antje was such an interesting guide, especially when she shared information one is unlikely to read in a typical "best places to visit" description. We did a walking tour of Rostock and Warnemünde with her. Her pacing was great and she ticked off all the places on her published itinerary. I would not hesitate to book her again.

She provided a very enjoyable and informative tour of Warnemunde and Rostock, including detailed history of the region and fascinating glimpses into life during its time as part of East Germany. Warnemunde is a charming seaside resort town. Our group of three couples from an Oceania cruise ship really enjoyed strolling through the town. Then we loved taking the tram to Rostock and wandering around that town. Antje brought us back to Warnemunde and our cruise port, with time for some shopping. A delightful day. Very glad we chose her.

Antje was an amazing tour guide. She was so organized, brought us a guide book with interesting photos about the sites, and even gave us East German chocolates from her favorite companies. Such a great experience. Highly recommend.
