As a qualified tour guide (Chamber of Commerce, Rostock) I am specialised in guiding in English - other languages available on demand. I love to show you around some of our typical Hanseatic towns - Rostock, Wismar, Schwerin, Luebeck, Hamburg - the Mecklenburg countryside - Bad Doberan, Heiligendamm, seaside resort of Kuehlungsborn and the typical manor houses - Roggow, Gross Siemen, Buettelkow, gardens - Marihn, Siemen, Neustrelitz - and castles - Guestrow Castle, Schwerin Castle, Wiligrad Castle, Ludwigslust Castle. My favourite topics are history, social life and locally produced food - I like to invite guests to private houses for teas and coffees during the tours - time permitting. Welcome to Warnemuende - the most popular seaside resort in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. During this amazing half day tour you will see all the most popular sights and experience the best parts of the city with a local guide. We'll see all of the sightseeing spots you would see on an ordinary tour - they're certainly worthwhile. But I will also show you the special things that make Warnemunde. As your private tour guide, I can adjust the schedule, duration and activities to meet your needs. Please let me know of any special requests you have.
We had a wonderful time with Karin touring Rostock and Warnemunde, she was able to show us things that you could never see on a tour bus. We had coffee and sweets in a little café that was fantastic. She is very knowledgeable and we learned many things. Karin was able to accommodate my husbands walker and was adapted the tour to his needs. We would highly recommend this tour.

Karin is an amazing lady and incredible guide. She perfectly paced our excursion, especially since it was 90+ degrees F that day and that my group is older. Not only is she well-versed in the history of Warnemunde and Rostock, she shared her personal experiences of her family's life living behind the "iron curtain." We were all mesmerized by her stories. We cruised the river, rode the tram, and the train. Our finale was coffee and dessert at a high rise hotel which gave us an incredible view.
Karin was terrific....we had 4 people and she addressed the interests of each person. We have travelled frequently over the past decade but this was our first experience with Tours By Locals. We will utilize the service again in the future.
