Dear travelers, Welcome to my profile. I'll try not to be so boring and introduce myself to you in a brief and understandable manner. I am a private guide/driver and I've been doing this since 2010. My guiding skills were sharpened throughout my past life. I was raised by those people who always enjoyed discussions about the history of Georgia and local traditions. This was a good push for me to entirely dive in this subject matter and gain much more knowledge about history of Georgia. Besides, I loved hiking in the mountains, especially during the long term visit to my grandparents' places, which lived in different highland regions of Georgia. As a teenager I joined traditional Folk dancing (became a first class national dancer) company and I was given a chance to interact with multiple national representatives during our performances abroad. In the 2005 I officially became a Military interpreter (After security clearance interview) for the peace keeping operation programs (NATO) and gained some land navigation and first aid skills. Even nowadays, I take a part in a short term training programs, which serves for me as reiteration of my past knowledge. Since 2010 I began the leading business which became my main work now. This work gives me the chance to use mine, already well aggravated skills in benefit of travelers in my country. There is Dress code in Georgian Orthodox churches and Monasteries. ladies need dress and scarfs to cover the body, and men should wear long trousers you should not enter there during the pray or service. Svaneti is a historic province in Georgia, in the northwestern part of the country. It is inhabited by the Svans, a geographic subgroup of the Georgians. The region is Surrounded by 3, 000-5, 000 meter peaks, Svaneti is the highest inhabited area in the Caucasus. Four of the 10 highest peaks of the Caucasus are located in the region. The highest mountain in Georgia, Mount Shkhara at 5, 201 meters (17, 059 feet), is located in the province. Prominent peaks include Tetnuldi (4, 974m. /16, 319ft. ), Shota Rustaveli (4, 960m. /16, 273ft. ), Mt. Ushba (4, 710m. /15, 453ft. ), Ailama (4, 525m. /14, 842ft. ). The most exiting thing is to visit ancient tower villages dispersed in between high up mountains, and number of churches. On the way to Mestia, we'll also visit different interesting places such as: Old capital of georgia-Mtskheta town, Stalin's home town, Dadiani palace in Zugdidi city and Enguri reservoir. My Knowledge and respect of the local traditions makes the locals to treat my guests in a special way.
I booked a 4-day trip to Svaneti with Koba because I didn't want to plan the trip myself, it was a very good decision. Koba got in touch early and drew a rough plan - the roads were bad due to weather so he recommended other activities to replace the trip to Ushguli. He is also observant, recommended and brought me to places he thought I'd like for photography and sightseeing. He also takes care of his travellers. Overall, I strongly recommend planning your trip with Koba.
Koba is an expert guide and I very much recommend him to other travelers. I felt like I was in safe and experienced hands during some of the mountain driving. He is very knowledgeable about his country and I felt I learned much more, and in a more interesting way, from listening to him than reading internet. One of the best things about my two weeks in the Caucasus was the people I met there, and Koba certainly contributed to that. The tour itself was very well planned covered some beautiful landscapes.
Koba was absolutely superb in every way. He was a wonderful tour guide; knowledgeable on the geography, history and culture of his beautiful country and shared it with warmth and wit. He expertly drove us safely, was flexible and helpful with our itinerary and was full of useful tips on restaurants and menu choices. Koba finished with a flourish when he organised a fabulous Georgian wine tasting session for us, which would take far too long to describe here. Thank you Koba, you were the best.
I took two tours with Koba - the most Irish guy in Georgia - during my all-too-brief time in this fantastic country, and I cannot recommend him enough! He was flexible with the itinerary, allowing us to maximize our time in Svaneti while still being able to visit all of the sites listed. Even a flat tire along the road proved to be merely a minor setback, and it was a good opportunity to witness Georgian hospitality firsthand, as several of the locals came out to offer a hand!
Koba is an energetic and fun guide who has an excellent knowledge of his Country,He was flexible to changes, attentive to our needs and was an amusing companion for us during our adventures in Georgia. Koba went out of his way to assist with extras such as catching a midnight train from a dark and isolated station then calling to make sure we were safely at our new destination. Koba will remain a friend who we hope to visit again. He made our visit to Georgia one of the best travel experiences ever.

Mestia - Zugdidi, Dadiani palace- Archaeopolis and hot springs - Svetitskhoveli cathedral in Mtskheta town- Tbilisi (long day, 500 km to drive). . .
