Kakheti Region (The Wine Homeland) Private Tour

Kakheti is a historical province in Eastern Georgia. It is known as a wine homeland and is bordered by the small mountainous of Gombori from the south and the Greater Caucasus mountain range to the north. There is extended well famous Alazani valley In between the above mentioned Mountains. This region is reach of the ancient cultural places and most of tham are under UNESCO protection. The most visited towns of the region are Telavi and Signagi, but beside this you can visit 12th century academy complex, Gremi- medieval centuries town remains, Alavedri church complex (10th cent), nekresi complex (IV cent. ) and other places of interest. You can also visit 16th century wine storage and/or wine factories and taste delicious Georgian wine and brandy. The travel infrastructure in Kakheti is fast developing, since it is the most visited region of Georgia.
