Welcome to Provence ! Bienvenue. . . My name is Sandy, I'm 39 and I spent a large part of my life in tourism. After my years of university in Aix where I graduated as National Licensed Tour Guide & Lecturer, I decided to travel the world and I toured Europe with many groups before returning to Aix with plenty of experience, and enthusiasm for my job. I like to picture myself as a good example of Provencal folk: friendly, sociable, always smiling and engaging. . . oh and I love to dance ! My region is a unique combination of sun, culture, way of life and most of all « joie de vivre ». This is what I would love to show you since visiting Provence is mostly about pleasure, and I'll make sure that a smile never leaves your face. Guiding is mainly about sharing, this is why I chose to work with small groups; it is the only way to feel the place, to enjoy the eternal Provence. No matter what your interests are I will design a tour entirely tailor made for your group. Together we can discover the historic cities of Provence, Aix, Marseille, Arles, Avignon. . . We can also enjoy some of the countless gorgeous picturesque villages like Gordes, Les Baux, Saint-Remy, Cassis, Lourmarin. . . Seaside, the countryside or the mountains ; lavender fields, vineyards, woods or bushes ; gastronomy, art, architecture, farniente or workshop ; Provence has something to offer for everyone, it is a little heaven on earth. I will welcome you in any part of the region, from the elegant Aix to the glamourous Cassis, passing by the historic Avignon or the port of Marseille, for a door to door service, private, exclusive and enjoyable. A way of life made of sociability, slowness, traditions, and a pure attachment to the land. From the pétanque playground to the cafés, from the traditional markets to the lonely chapels in the countryside, you will discover with me the soul of Provence.
What an absolutely stunning tour, Sandy wealth of knowledge of Marseille and Aix en Provenance is unbelievable. Our tour began in Marseille and we travelled to Aix en Provenance, we learned about so much history we feel like we have PHD in French history now. Sandy showed us so many beautiful places we truly enjoyed our tour with Sandy. So if you are in Marseille please get a tour with Sandy.
We traveled to Europe for a month and took dozens of tours. Sandy was the best tour we had! She was great with the kids and very knowledgeable and easy to spend the day with!!
Our tour of Provence with Sandy was perfect! She customized our day (my wife's birthday!) to meet all of our needs and desires. Even though most of the lavender fields had already been mowed, she called around to find a few that were still in tact so that we could have the experience we had hoped for. In addition, she found a lovely winery where we could do a tasting and a delicious lunch. An overall perfect day and Sandy was such a pleasure to spend our day with.
Wonderful tour with Sandy, around Provence and to local vineyards. It was perfect - exactly what we wanted. Sandy’s knowledge about the area and wines was exceptional and she was friendly and helpful all day. We really really enjoyed ourselves and are so grateful for such an excellent tour! Sandy was great! She took what we wanted to do and made it all happen for us! First stop the Carreres de Luminares where you walk around and see a picture show of Monet set to music inside an old limestone quarry. Perfect! And when we were out she drove us to take pictures by La Baux the old medieval village on a mountain. Then on to the Van Gogh museum where she gave us a guided tour. Then pictures by the lavender. From there she took us to a wonderful French bistro for a delicious lunch and very reasonable too. A quick walk around the cute town of San Remy and passing by the Nostradamus house before we headed back to the ship. We did not want to chance being a pier runner so she had us back exactly the time we asked for. Most accommodating and definitely wanted us to have a wonderful day and she did. Highly recommend!
