Open Air Museum Tallinn Tour

Tour begins in city centre. Being picked up by car we drive west of Tallinn and talk of objects on our way. From the car we will see Viru square, Freedom Square, Charles church - the biggest protestant church, National library, American district, hippodrome, zoo park, the biggest shopping mall in city. Open air museum is situated in private area in woods. Buying tickets we will enjoy timber dwellings, windmills, barn-dwellings, taverns. During the walking tour, we find collection of 80 buildings: peasant farms, net sheds, school farm, chapel of 18-20th century. We will look at low reed roof of barn-dwellings, come inside through low doorway to see how we lived, how heated house, where held cattle and celebrated weddings. The discipline was hard, but only it helped us to survive in cold climate with restricted quantity of resources. In summer time museum offers you dancings exhibitions and other events.
