Hi everyone, I'm Jing G., and also feel free to call me Monica (inspired by Monica from Friends — a chef who loves food and hosting friends). I was born in Shanghai and moved to Chengdu with my family when I was 10, and this city has been my home for most of my life. After graduating from a local university, I went to Chicago for my master's degree. That experience gave me a traveller's perspective and a deep appreciation for what it means to explore a foreign city. Professionally, I've been guiding in Chengdu since early 2024 and hold a national English tour guide license. My guiding style is far from formal — I treat every guest like a friend visiting my hometown. I want you to experience Chengdu the way a local would, not just as a tourist. Even if you've never played before, you'll be able to join a game within minutes. My guests absolutely love it! Panda Viewing Done Right: As a panda enthusiast myself, I know when and where to go for the best experience. For example, in summer, I'll recommend cooler, less crowded alternatives like Wolong or Bifengxia instead of the busy city base. Authentic Local Food: I'm a passionate foodie, and I know where locals actually eat. No tourist traps — just real, delicious Chengdu flavors. I'll also share the stories and fun facts behind the dishes. Thoughtful Touches: I always bring along small items that make a difference: wet wipes, hand sanitizer, stain remover pens (very handy for Sichuan food!), cooling towels, mosquito repellent, and fun little gifts like panda headbands for photo props.
