I’m a proud Québécois and have been living in Québec City for over 40 years. It’s my home — and I can’t wait to share it with you. Québec City is one of the oldest cities in North America, and its history is everywhere: in the architecture, the streets, the traditions, and the stories that have shaped it for over four centuries. During our tour, history won’t just be a backdrop — it will be part of everything we see, feel, and experience together. But there’s more. I’ll also introduce you to what I call the Québec Difference — the unique character of our society that sets us apart from the rest of the continent. This distinctiveness comes from a blend of French, British, Canadian, and North American influences. It explains our language, our values, our institutions… and yes, sometimes even our tensions and debates. The Québec Difference has given rise to deep pride, but also to political movements and cultural challenges that still shape our society today. Whether you’re a couple, a family, a solo traveler, or part of a group, my goal is to make you feel welcome and help you connect with Québec City in a meaningful way. I love sharing both the big stories and the little-known facts — from major historical turning points to local customs and everyday life. If you’re looking for something a little different, or if you have special interests or needs, just reach out! I’d be happy to tailor a tour that’s just right for you. I look forward to meeting you — and I promise, you’ll leave Québec City with a smile, great memories, and a new appreciation for this remarkable city. If this is your first time in Quebec City, this tour is a nice introduction to the culture and the history of the city. After this tour, you'll understand why people in Quebec still speak French, even though we became a British colony in the middle of the 18th century. You will see the main sites of Old Quebec and will be able to walk around by yourselves after the tour having a better sense of orientation in the area. Stunning views of the St. Lawrence river are waiting for you in the upper part of the city, along with wonderful cobblestone streets, historic buildings and monuments that will fill the lenses of your phone/camera with great memories of your time in the most beautiful city in North America. Walking this city is by far the best way to discover all its little hidden gems. I can't wait to share my love of this city with you. I'll do whatever it takes to make this tour something you will remember for a long time.
The itinerary will be a bit different for every tour depending on the starting point but will include most of the following: * Place Royale, the birthplace of Quebec City * Rue du Petit-Champlain, voted many times as the most beautiful street in Canada * Château Frontenac, a beautiful hotel that has become the symbol of Quebec City * Terrasse Dufferin, a wonderful boardwalk with stunning views on the St. Lawrence River * Rue St-Louis, the main street in Old Quebec, with the oldest standing house in the city * Quebec City Fortifications, making Quebec the only walled city north of Mexico * École des Ursulines, the oldest school for girls in New France * Holy Trinity and Notre-Dame, the first Anglican and Catholic cathedrals * Séminaire de Québec, my favorite part of the city, quiet and so charming This is subject to change due to special events in the city or roadwork being done.

This is a walking tour only, our feet will provide all the transportation needed (and they're very good at this!). Quebec City can be hilly but our itinerary will be mostly downhill.
Rue des Carrières, Québec, Québec, G1R 5J5, Canada
I really like to start my tours at the Champlain Monument (on Dufferin Terrace), the heart of Old Quebec, for the history of the city to unfold along the tour. But it it's important for you, I can pick you up anywhere inside the walls of Old Quebec or in the historic Lower town area. Please dress comfortably (good walking shoes) and appropriately for the weather.
