Gibrand was very knowledgeable about São Paulo. We adjusted our tour as we went along; flexibility was important to creating the best possible experience. He was friendly with locals which I was charming. Enjoyed our cultural tour thoroughly.

About me: I have graduated in Social Communication at Pontifícia Universidade Católica Rio de Janeiro and Theater by Casa de Artes de Laranjeiras. For ten years I have been working for several tourism companies in the cities of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, as a Private Guide. I have also acted as a private translator of English and Spanish in business meetings, fairs, and events. Previously I have also worked in the hospitality industry for eleven years as Operations Manager at Holiday Inn World Wide (now InterContinental Hotels Group) and Utell International, both in call centers. I have lived in the United States for two years where I have studied at Camarillo High School and at Ventura City College. My knowledge of Arts, Architecture, and History of São Paulo was acquired over the years for having a family related to art and museums, from my studies in those institutions and by self-learning. About the tours: The tours will demonstrate a quick and objective panorama of the best or most significant places, monuments and attractions of São Paulo. You will get a local look not only on the physical architectural aspect, but you will understand its evolution, dynamics, high points, discrepancies and differences. At the end of the tour you will feel like you are already part of the city! Licensed guide accredited by the Tourism Ministry - CADASTUR I do not have any restrictions in regard to my guiding, I can offer a full range of experiences

If you are thinking the quickest way of getting to know one of the biggest cities in the world, this is your opportunity of having a true insight of the city's cultural and most significant areas maximizing your time. Plenty opportunities to take pictures. That include the Historical City Center, Japan Town, Ibirapuera Park and more. You may also suggest places within city perimeter. Places and monuments will be explained as you go along. It is fun, it is intelligent and satisfying!

Had a great 3- hour tour on a Sunday morning in Sao Paulo. We started by car from my hotel, went to a nearby park to look at the Atlantic forest, walked by street vendors on Paulista Ave (where he helped me talk to an artist in Portuguese and I got to by a souvenir painting), then drove to Batman Alley (where he demonstrated that some of the artworks have special effects if seen through an app!), then drove through Japan Town and City Central, then stopped at a farmer's market and ended the tour at the Museum of Modern Art. During that time, Gilbran was always accomodating, informative and adjusted the sites according to my preference. He also takes great pictures! Highly recommend this tour!
My June 10th tour guided by Gilbran Chalita was nothing short of excellent. So here are my list of adjectives: professional, timely, considerate, knowledgeable, interesting, affable, architecture geek, socially aware, history geek, charismatic, intuitive, flexible, intelligent and fun. He showed us many of the the good, the bad and the strangely wonderful aspects of Sao Paulo. Many thanks for a very interesting day.
Gilbtan was awesome. He tailored our tour on the spot to meet our interests. He was knowledgeable , affable , and funny. We began with a quite and finished the tour with a friend.
The starting point of your tour will depend on what part of the city you are staying. However, it will cover: -Historical City Center, which includes the main cathedral, foundation place of Sao Paulo, Opera House, City Hall and Japan Town; -Ibirapuera Park (you get to know the park plus, you will be able to go on top of the Contemporary Art Museum to see the best view of the city, except on Mondays when museums are closed); -Paulista Ave (financial district) and Oscar Freire the posh street. You will be able to enter some of the attractions and walk through the city as you like. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to customize this tour.
