Hello my name is Denis and I was born in Sao Paulo. I am an official tour guide for Brazil (Ministerio do Turismo License), and I have a degree in International Relations, Organic Agriculture and I studied English in Australia. I am a very flexible person, and always do my best to help my guests in their expectations. I like Arts, Culture, Nature, and I am a musician in my free time. I have worked as a tour guide for the last 25 years in Sao Paulo and surroundings, and I love my job! Sao Paulo is the biggest city in the entire American continent and , to see it in a short time, you need someone that knows well the city, to select the interesting attractions and save time. There are many attractions in Sao Paulo, like museums, historical buildings, nice archtecture, beautiful neighborhoods, Market, street art, central park, churchs, shopping streets, wonderful restaurants, and a great cultural diversity. Every tour I make is a different new experience, because the city is different day by day, and the group is a new one every time. My favorite tours are "Ilhabela" , one of the most beautiful islands in Brazil, with beautiful beaches and waterfalls surrounded by the rainforest, and the hiking tours, where I can show the visitor everything about the rainforest. I was a boy scout as a kid, so I love Nature. Sao Paulo is surrounded by that Rainforest, and the beaches on Sao Paulo's coast are about 70 Kilometers away from the city. We also have beautiful mountain places to visit nearby, like the town of Campos do Jordao, that has a quite european style and feelling of the brazilian mountains. My availability changes very quickly normally, so please don't take too long to decide making a booking with me, for not loosing the date. To see one of the biggest cities in the world you need lots of time or to be with someone that knows the place very well. Once I was born in Sao Paulo, I have been working as a guide for the last 20 years and I love this city. I can help you to do that in a quite short time. In 4 hours it's possible to do a general overview tour in this huge city, visiting inside or just outside of the most important attractions, with a comfortable private vehicle. This tour is flexible, so we can manage it according to what you're most interested in seeing. I speak English and Spanish fluently.
We did this tour with Denis and glad we did it it was a very good introductory tour to sao palo Got to look at all the important places learnt a bit about the history Understood the evolution of the city and its architecture Denis is very knowledgeable and a good communicator friendly and answered all our questions Would highly recommend it
I would give Denis more stars, if that was an option. We set him the impossible task of showing us Sao Paulo between flights. He picked us up at the airport, expertly navigated the traffic, showed us as many of the sites on our priority list as possible and got us back to the airport in time for our onward flight. He is interesting, informative and considerate.
For our last-minute trip to Sao Paulo, Dennis was like Superman who saved the day. We know zero Portuguese, did not have time to learn the city and were unsure how to explore. Dennis customized an excellent agenda based on our interests and we enjoyed every minute. He's funny, friendly and easy going. Will seek out another Dennis tour on our next visit.

Denis could not have been a better tour guide! He suggested great spots for our short timeframe and was so knowledgeable about the area and the country. We learned more from him on our tour than we did for whole days on our own. He also put up with my crazy kids trapped in the car with him during a traffic jam with extreme grace and humor!
Denis was a great tour guide, speaks excellent English, and has a love of Sao Paulo. We did a four hour tour, highlights of the city and had lunch in the covered market. It was great to learn about the culture, the city and many places we simply would not have found on our own. He was very flexible to our tour needs, and communicated well at all times. I thoroughly recommend him if you are ever in Sao Paulo.
- I will pick you up at your hotel in the Sao Paulo area. - We can visit many attractions like the beautiful food Municipal Market, the Cathedral, Japanese Area, Pateo do Colegio, Foundation Square, Municipal Theater, Benedict Monastery, Luz Train Station, Soccer Stadium and Museum, Pinacoteca Art Museum, Avenida Paulista (main street), Batman's Alley, Jardins District, Ibirapuera Park, or any other attraction in the city of your're more interested in. This is a flexible tour and we can spend the 4 hours time prioritizing the attractions you are more interested to see. - Then, drive back to hotel in Sao Paulo. PS: Museums and some other attractions are closed on Mondays for maintenance.
