Hello! My name is Will and there are few things in life I am more passionate about than Tasmania. Born and raised in London, I first visited Tasmania during a round-the-world trip in 2006 and fell head over heels in love with this beautiful, wild island. A few years later I moved halfway across the world to live here: that is how much I love this place! As an avid hiker and outdoor enthusiast, I know the island's best walks and views. Before becoming a tour guide I worked for ten years as a Biology teacher: I have extensive knowledge of Tasmania's native plant and animal life as well as its natural history and geology. Let me introduce you to the state's extraordinary wildlife and trees, many of which are found nowhere else on Earth! Even to this day, Tasmania remains Australia's "best kept secret". I will gladly let you in on it! Any of my tours can be customized for you. Please simply inquire for a quote! Public Passenger Vehicle Ancillary Certificate, Public Passenger Vehicle service accreditation First Aid Certificate B.A. (Hons) Natural Sciences, University of Cambridge I do not have any restrictions in regard to my guiding, I can offer a full range of experiences

The imposing silhouette of Mount Wellington is visible from almost every part of Hobart: this impressive 4, 160-foot mountain is a true symbol of the city. Even though they are only a stone's throw away from the bustling center of town, the slopes of Mount Wellington are a hiker's dream: tracks crisscross the flanks of the mountain, in the shadow of the spectacular Organ Pipe rock formations, surrounded by beautiful native vegetation - some species are to be found only here on the mountain! Discover the Mount Wellington's summit, with its sweeping views down to the River Derwent and across to Tasmania's Southwest Wilderness, the waterfalls which dot its slopes, its mysterious forests and peaceful hiking tracks. Enjoy a gourmet picnic of local produce while taking in some of the most splendid views to be found in Tasmania!
We will leave Hobart's CBD for the summit of Mount Wellington along the Pinnacle Road, stopping at viewpoints along the way across the Derwent River and d'Entrecasteaux Channel towards the Huon Valley and Bruny Island. The summit affords breathtaking 360-degree views over the city, the area's spectacular coastline and Tasmania's famed wilderness on the southwestern horizon. We will then head a little way down the mountain and explore some of the beautiful tracks so loved by Hobart residents: the Organ Pipes tracks, which follows the bottom of the spectacular vertical rock columns which give it its name, is one of the most beautiful. Surrounded by nature, you will enjoy a delicious gourmet picnic of specially-selected Tasmanian produce while admiring some truly unforgettable views.
