After a scenic drive along Tasmania’s east coast and a short ferry crossing, we’ll spend the day discovering Maria Island’s wildlife, history and striking coastal scenery. Wombats, wallabies, kangaroos and Cape Barren geese are often seen along the walking tracks, while Darlington offers a fascinating glimpse into Tasmania’s convict past. Depending on the weather, tides and your interests, we can also explore highlights such as the Painted Cliffs or Fossil Cliffs. A relaxed picnic lunch is included, featuring fresh sandwiches, Tasmanian cheese and chocolate.
