I love to imagine walking in their footsteps, trying to experience the fears and joys they felt, and how they coped during their first months in a completely isolated, deserted land that looked nothing like the Wales they had left behind. Join me as I retrace the steps of these pioneering settlers and gain a fresh perspective on history. As we drive through the valley, you will see it transformed from a desert that was once home to the largest dinosaurs imaginable; you will also have the unique opportunity to stand next to one of them.
This tour exceeded our expectations! The paleontology museum was fascinating, the Welsh history interesting and the towns we visited charming. We enjoyed our Welsh tea experience and left full! Carina was a thoughtful and informative guide!
Puerto Madryn, Trelew, and Gaiman are really fun places to see. As somebody with Welsh-Scottish heritage it was great to hear the story of the settlers and see the original chapels and enjoy the Welsh Tea lunch.
Carina is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable guides that you will encounter and provided an interesting and very enjoyable day .. learning about and seeing the Welch community was certainly worth it and her depth of knowledge was amazing.

We had a wonderful 'Welsh Heritage' day with Carina. We saw so many sites and places that we would never have found on our own. We were so impressed with her knowledge of the history of the Welsh immigrants in Patagonia. One of the highlights for us was a visit to one of the original Welsh Chapels, it was a very moving experience. The other was having tea at Ty Gwyn and being able to converse in Welsh with the ladies serving the tea. We would highly recommend this tour with Carina.
Carina was a delight and despite the challenges caused by the torrential rain the day before our visit we completed the tour as booked. The dinosaur museum was very interesting and Carina's choice of venue for the Welsh Tea meant that we avoided tge venues being used by the big tour buses.
