Hola!! My Name is Carina and I 've been working as a tour guide for the past 25 years, wow a lot right? I moved to live with my parents at Puerto Madryn city when I was only 8 years old, and from the first moment I set foot in this city I can honestly say that I fell in love with it and that it's a feeling that still lasts until these days, so for me was natural to became a Tour Guide, reason why as soon I finished high school went straight to the University in order to get my Credential, and that passion that moved me 26 years ago to do that is the same one that made me change from being just a guide on a bus to be a guide - driver on her own car. With this tour, you will have a unique opportunity to walk among the Magellanic penguins at the largest breeding colony in Patagonia, at a private ranch called San Lorenzo, a place where also you can after the walking enjoy a traditional Patagonian roasted lamb. One of the best tour guides we have ever had. She listened to our preferences and tailored our tour to our needs. We were in a time crunch to try and complete all our requests due to the cruise ships limited time in port. She rearranged the order so that we missed all of the giant busses from the ships excursions. We had the penguin colony all to ourselves due to her quick thinking and timing. She went far above and beyond for us. Highly recommended!

Our guide, Carina, was wonderful! She spoke excellent English, was very knowledgeable & personable. She made sure to communicate with us far enough in advance to make sure we were adequately dressed & prepared for our trek. We enjoyed the 2 locations to see the seals & penguins. It's a long drive out there but She was quick to point out all the creatures along the way, lamas & abundant sheep. She provided a great boxed lunch. We appreciated that she had created special wooden boxes, had prepared the meal, used reuable plastic containers, all in the pursuit of minimizing waste. It is a trek back in forth to the locations we wanted to visit but Carina made it special.
This was a spectacular tour! ***** Carina is an excellent tour guide and a wonderful person to spend a day with. She offered many insights on the region and was very knowledgeable about the land, the history, the animals, and the evolution of this area. Also, she made this a very easy trip, looking after all the key details and was an excellent communicator - both before the tour to get everything arranged, and on the tour itself. The whole family loved her! We would definitely recommend her, especially for her ability to get us so close to the magnificent penguins. :-)
- Pick up from the designated place -First stop at El desempeño (here we pay the entrance fee to the reserve) -Next stop at the Visitor Center (use of toilets, gift shop, museum) -After driving for 1 1/2 hours we reach Punta Norte (stop to see sea lions) -After driving 30 minutes we arrive at San Lorenzo ranch where we will walk among the penguins -Drive back to Puerto Madryn for 2 straight hours Note: -All the driving will be on gravel except the first and last hour of the day
