Experience, explore and be awestruck by this most amazing of the 7 natural wonders of the world!
No trip to Phoenix and the southwest is complete without adventuring north to the Grand Canyon--the most amazing of the 7 natural wonders of the world!
Our trip begins at our designated meeting place and we travel north for approximately 4 hours through the Sonoran Desert and up onto the Colorado Plateau. Once we arrive at the south rim at an elevation of approximately 6, 500 feet, we will begin our exploration of this majestic landscape.
As this is a private tour, your trip will be tailored to your desired level of activity as well as your primary interests. Photos from rim view points, hiking along the rim, shopping and exploring Grand Canyon village, and even hiking into the canyon are all options.
Having led tours to the Grand Canyon for over 10 years and traversed the canyon numerous times, I have an intimate and extensive knowledge of the area. Whether you are a first time visitor or you want to return and see more remote parts of the Canyon, this tour is for you!
I will pick you up at your hotel at 6:00 in the morning. With the considerable distance involved in getting there, we will want to maximize our time at the Grand Canyon, hence the early start is preferred. We will drive up to the Grand Canyon to the trail. We will hike thru the morning before stopping for lunch on the trail at a scenic spot. We will then continue until our hike is complete, tour Grand Canyon village as time permits and then we will return to Phoenix.
Special gear recommendations: I strongly suggest wearing a hat, sun glasses and sun screen. Good hiking shoes and a day pack for water and lunch is also necessary.

Will is a phenomenal guide. If you are looking for any trip where he is the guide, do not hesitate. Go with him! Will was very communicative and easy going with putting the tour together, and then was very prompt picking us up.Will is incredibly knowledgeable about the area, particularly geologically speaking, which we loved. He is a smooth driver (which I am very picky about), he packed a lovely lunch, and took us to a peak off the beaten path that made a marvelous trip truly unparalleled. Perfect day!
