My first visit to Las Vegas was in 1993 and I know then this was the place for me. In 1995 I relocated from Germany (Hannover)to Henderson. Overview of your Las Vegas tour
The Techatticup Mine is the oldest and richest Gold Mine in Southern Nevada. It ran from 1861 until 1942. In the 1800's it was the most lawless place throughout the west, so many murders were committed without the criminals being brought to trial. it was also one of the backdrops for the movie"Graceland" with Kevin Costner and Kurt Russel. The 1/4 mile tour into the mine is on one level, duration 1 hour 20 minutes.

Ernst-Wilhelm was an excellent guide who made our excursion very enjoyable. He was so knowledgeable and good about pointing out sites to us. He made sure we were comfortable and that we did everything we wanted to do to make the trip a success. He even went out of his way to stop so we could get a snack since we were all hungry.

Our gold mine tour with Ernst was a great experience. He was right on time and was very accommodating throughout the trip. It was a very hot day and Ernst generously provided cold water encouraging us to stay hydrated! Ernst is very knowledgeable on the history of the area, he has an interesting background, and it was pleasant to get to know him while learning new facts.
