When I was a young man my father would take my brother and I on trips from Albuquerque NM to Colorado to visit relatives. Along the way dad would stop at every road-side historic sign and take pictures of us standing in front of the markers. I was always intrigued with the photography my father did on his Kodak Brownie camera as well as with the historical information listed at each stop. Apparently I was influenced by both because as an adult I became a Historian and Park Ranger for the National Park Service and also an award winning Professional Photographer. These days, I have a great love and passion for taking people to different sites sharing historical information and great appreciation for the scenery, landscapes and beauty throughout our fine State of New Mexico. Please join me on a hike, walk, photo excursion, Steam Engine train ride, photography outing or to plan a half day, full day, or custom multi-day tour just for you and your group. BA degree in Communication and American Studies with concentration in History of the Santa Fe Trail, University of New Mexico.- Former Site Historian and Park Ranger National Park Service. - Lifetime resident of New Mexico.

Overview of your Albuquerque tour

Capture the flavor of Albuquerque as I point out important historical and Cultural sites around the town. Known as a tri-cultural city you will see the Native American, Spanish and Anglo influences in art, music, food, architecture and other aspects that make this place a rich and colorful treasure. I grew up in Albuquerque and actually served as an alter boy at San Felipe church in the historic Old Town Plaza. In my teen years I cruised down Central Ave. American Graffiti style when mini-skirts and muscle cars were in fashion. Having retired from the National Park Service I have also been a Volunteer at Petroglyphs National Monument. Along with my experience and knowledge as a former Park Ranger and Historian I will be sharing with you my personal connection to my home town. I know all the best places to eat and of course the most interesting little-known facts, information and best sites to see.
