Our day with John was fantastic! Despite major flight delays and jet lag, he kept us engaged and informed throughout our Manchester tour. His fascinating insights ensured we stayed awake and learned so much! The highlight was the Ribble Valley, especially meaningful as it's my maiden name. John went above and beyond, finding signs for Ribble Valley, the River Ribble, and even The Ribble Way. John was a wonderful tour guide for my first time in the UK. As I was making travel plans, John answered all of my questions and reached out to confirm the pickup location. He arrived early to the hotel and provided a map to explain the history of Manchester. His explanations are clear and thorough and he is familiar with important architectural, scientific, and cultural sites throughout the city. John tailored the tour based on my interests and gave the freedom to stop when I wanted to explore a particular area, but saved a lot of surprises as well. John is a welcoming, friendly, and inclusive tour guide and I would recommend him to anyone who wishes to visit Manchester.

Great personalized tour that allowed us time to explore (and shop!) without being rushed. Also included some music history stops that my husband greatly appreciated.

We booked three tours with John, and we can't think of anyone who could have been more accommodating, knowledgeable, and fun to be with. He was easy to contact, suggested excellent stops on our journeys, and was a great conversationalist. We would have given him more that 5 stars if that had been an option! We took a 4-hour tour of Manchester, one day trip to the Lake District, and another day trip to Chester and Conwy, Wales. Each was memorable, and we HIGHLY recommend him to everyone!!
