My name is Tommy and my last name translates into ''Cutehill'' in English :) I was born and raised in Bergen. My deep knowledge and experience of Bergen and Norways rich history and culture is based on a lifetime of living here. I have only lived outside Bergen for a couple years in the oil capital of Norway, Stavanger. I missed my homeplace alot so I returned. I settled in Bergen for good, where I have lived over 20 years since. I have hiked all the peaks, mountains and paths criss cross Bergen so that is my passion. Tennis is my second passion, I but due to the Norwegian climate its not many months I can play that outdoors. I love sports in general! I also like to take part in the cultural offers my city has to offer with festivals and other fun events. Its safe to say I'm a "people's person" I started to do tours in Bergen and west coast of Norway in 2016 to improve my interpersonall skills as I stand in front of a crowd/bunch of people quite often in my regular job as a proj mng. I did not turn back since day one. It is so rewarding to help visitors/travellers leave Bergen with a a good impression of my city and what it has to offer. I love my regular job which have a lot of flexibility where I control the days/weeks/months myself as long as I produce. The time I am available I love to meet new people from all over the world and its very rewarding to give a good experience visiting Bergen. I am also getting a lot of really nice friendships and connections through this so I feel very honoured for every single person I am given the oportunity to take on a tour around Bergen or nearby area. I have a ton of time around the unknown and known streets, paths and trails of Bergen and I am confident I can give a really good experience visiting Bergen. I did not memorize all the exact years when all historic events took place, but I definately know the city's history and most of the timeline enough to give the visitors a ride through the past and present when visiting Bergen with me. One thing I also take serious is time. I always show up on time and I dont finish a tour before time, usually its hard for me to finish on booked time, but I try to keep a timeline as people may have plans. One thing that is important when travelling is time, that is why that is something I value a lot on behalf of everyone doing a tour with me. I am a true Bergen patriot which the city is known for having many of, but I like to believe I am one of the biggest :) I always reach out and communicate with visitors as early as possible prior to arrival in Bergen to hear the expectations and set up a plan and make the most of the stay. I am not the kind of "host" that meet you at designated scheduled time and say goodbye when time says the tour finished. I am with you from you book the tour and until year leave Bergen/Norway. Quite often I am also in touch also after leaving Norway with those who wish. I mentioned before I have done this since 2016 and I have formed many friendship's since then with travellers from all over the world and I feel lucky for every one I met, also those I did not speak to after. I grew as a human being after each and every single tour and feel lucky for having this oportunity. I welcome all of you who decided to visit Bergen even if you dont book a tour I am honoured you chose Bergen :) - Licenced Bergen guide since 2016. - 9 years experience doing tours in Bergen / western Norway. - Lived in Bergen all my life and know the city and its history very well - Done hundreds of tours, never been late to a single one ( proud )

Exercise is guaranteed with this tour, no need to visit the gym the day you take this hike! But of course we will set the pace to make sure it suits everyone involved. This tour is certainly close to the city, but it also provides the feeling of being at a remote location while hiking on "the roof of Bergen". Let me take you to enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view that just gets better, the higher we get. Besides you will have the chance of seeing the local wildlife. At mount Fløyen, we can reward ourselves with something good to eat or drink and then take the historic funicular back down to the city centre to take in the view.
- Meeting point by the Fløibanen funicular lower station - Bus or walk to Stoltzekleiven trail - Hike up the 908 stairs - Walk to mount fløyen in scenic nature and stunning surroundings - Arrive at mount Fløyen and enjoy the best view possible of Bergen from above - Return to the city centre with the historic funicular rail We can meet in the centre of Bergen and either walk or take a bus to starting point. * If you wish to do the tour on a day not listed as available don't hesitate to contact me and I will try to accommodate your request. * If you'd like to customize the itinerary, please contact me.
