The Ulriken cable car experience and discovery of Fantoft Stave church

You will also have the opportunity to visit Fantoft stave church, one of only 28 stave churches still remaining in the country. (Corner-posts "staves" and a framework of timber with wall planks standing on sills. These walls are known as stave walls, hence the name stave church). We will start the tour from your hotel/pier in Bergen and will head towards Mount Ulriken. As this mountain is the highest of the seven mountains surrounding Bergen, its summit offers the most breathtaking view over the city. During the five-minute cable car trip up the mountain we will be able to appreciate its height as well as its importance to the city's landscape. Once we have arrived at the peak of the mountain, we will find a hot beverage and a delicious local pastry waiting for us. I will be available to provide a fascinating insight into the scenery and culture. After the descent, we will go on to visit the stave church of Fantoft. On our way back to Bergen, we will be passing by the secondary residence of Norway's Royals. This tour is about you and your experience, I operate on no other schedule than yours.
