My name is Bojan, but people all call me Rante, so you can too. I'm a professional guide that would love to provide you with adventurous experiences, blended with magical nature landscapes, hidden cultural sites, and tasty local cuisine. Being a graduated forestry engineer, and an MSc in rural development - anthropology and sociology of the rural, I am the person to show you the world beyond the cities in Macedonia. My passion is bicycles and photography. So I can gladly take you on a bike tour to see and experience unique places. It is good to mention that my professionally related interests are protected areas, sacred natural sites, old trees, and places (what kind of meanings people associate to a place). Therefore I can show you the local's side of a place. Skopje is the town where I live, though I've been to every hidden place in Macedonia. I love Macedonia for its nature, and for its traditional cuisine. It is a place where you can experience something different (a landscape, people, culture) on every few steps you make; where villagers will not let you go without having a drink together; where food is whole ceremony of tastes and love. I am at your availability to make your visit and experience of Macedonia personal, unique and memorable. Tourist Guide License No.478 (Association of Tourist Guides of Macedonia) Master of Science in Rural Development (Ghent Univeristy, Belgium) Forestry Engineer (University of Ss Cyrilus and Methodius, Macedonia) Adventure EDU (Adventure Travel Trade Association Education Certificate) Scout Leader (Scout Association of Macedonia) I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Lets embark on a bicycle tour through history. We'll be riding through the City of Skopje, its outskirts, and nearby villages, and we will travel through time as we visit sites from the antiquity and even from prehistory. The tour is 40 km (25 mi) long, mostly flat, though we have a bit of an uphill to reach to one of the sites. The tour is customizable to a lighter version (25 km) by skipping Brazda Archaeological Site, or to a more difficult version (72 km) by adding a visit to Taoresium Archaeological Site, the birth place of Emperor Justinian I.
In this tour we will visit several sites from the Roman Period: - Neolithic Settlement "Tumba Madzari" 6000 BC - Brazda Archaeological Site, III BC - Roman Aqueduct, VI AC - Skupi Archaeological Site, Roman Period
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
