Our tour is a discovery of the suburban and rural part of Skopje, away from the crowds. We take backroads with very little traffic, following a route that I have specially designed for you. We pass suburbs and villages, we cross suspended bridges, while I tell you the local stories, only to get to an amazing nature area - Matka Canyon with cliffs rising from the water straight up. And there, options of activities awaits us: hiking, kayaking, boat ride, or simply enjoying a view of the river. The proposed itinerary is as follows, though it can be customised to your liking: - We start from your hotel. - We ride to Matka Canyon ~16 km (10 mi) or ~ 2 hours, and along the way we: - pass part of Skopje City and stop at landmark areas (Debar Maalo, Skopje City Park) at a pace we agree at the beginning of the tour. - pass "Saraj" Recreational Centre. - pass several villages - When we arrive at Matka Canyon we leave our bikes and have an optional activity upon your wish: hike up the mountain, visit to a monastery, lunch or a boat ride and a visit to Vrelo cave (be sure to tell me if you are interested in something). From 1 hours and more, depending on the activities selected. * for lunch I would recommend a special experience with one of the best tomatoes you ever had (dependent on the season). - After visiting Matka Canyon, we return the same way back to your hotel, ~ 90 minutes.
