Matka owns high number of relic and endemic plants, 20% are endemic or relic spices, 77 species of Balkan endemic small butterflies, while 18 other species are new to the science The Millennium Cross is a 66-metre high, 33 meter wide cross, built up on the top of the Vodno Mountain in Skopje
Travelling with Jordan is a fun and chill trip, and feels like going on the road with an old friend rather than a TbL Guide we just met. People make a difference, and people like Jordan make a huge difference especially for us first-timers to North Macedonia. We look forward to more fun and chill trips with Jordan in the near future.
Illija is a very good guide, who is clearly very passionate about the history and culture of his country and people. I was very impressed by his excellent English, especially after hearing that he did not learn this language formally. Illija was very attentive to my requirements and catered to all my needs. Amazing 2 days with Jordan...1st day was matka canyon early to avoid the crowds....then mount Vodno and skopje. 2nd day we went to Ohrid. Jordan is an encyclopedia of knowledge, not just about macedonia but of the whole region. I learnt so much in the 2 days.. Jordan also introduced me to some of the local foods. Highly entertaining and interesting tour. And on my final day he gave me a free lift to the airport on his day off and brought me some of his delicious home grown grapes. Highly recommended
I highly recommend a tour with Jordan when in North Macedonia! He speaks English VERY well, and he has such great insight…not only in Skopje and the surrounding areas, but the rest of the Balkans, as well. He knows the history, culture and "best of" things to see/do in the country, as he is from there. See Matka Canyon while in the Skopje area. And be sure not to miss a visit to Lake Ohrid when in the country, as well. I absolutely loved my visit, and Jordan had so much to do with it. Message him! ��
