If I need to describe myself in one sentence it would be: I am Elena the world citizen, in eternal love with the world, photography and yoga. But if you have time, now you can read the whole story. My name is Elena and I was born and raised in Skopje, the capital of Macedonia. In my life I had many opportunities to travel abroad and even lived for some time in few countries like Italy and Peru. My first long-term experience abroad was in Turin, Italy where I did my Master in Mediterranean trips, travel itineraries, communication and culture. In Turin for the first time I knew it what I want to do in my life: working in the field of the tourism. I love traveling, if I could travel during the whole year I would do it, but since it was impossible I needed to find a job that would allow me to stay in touch with people from different countries, and at the same time give me the same feeling like when I am travelling (sharing experiences, learning new things). I said to myself, if I cannot travel around the world, then the world can come to me. So I decided to take the license to become a tour guide and here I am, in the last few years my official job is a tourist guide. When I was living abroad I realized that I still don't know lot of things about my country, so after I came back home I decided to explore better Macedonia. I also started to write some articles on my travel blog about cities and places in my country that are still not so touristic. I was working few years on the tourist promotion between Macedonia and Italy and I always wanted to stay far from the mass tourism, I would love to promote the slow and alternative tourism. This is the main reason why I always want to work with small groups. But working with small groups also allows me to make you feel like meeting an old friend, with who you share experiences, ideas and having a really good time and unique experience in Macedonia. So if your next destination is Skopje and you want to do as the locals do, I am here to become your local guide. Master of Mediterranean trips, tours, communication and culture (University of Turin, Italy) International internship for young tourism and culture managers (Pordenone, Italy) Internship in MCL Biella promotion of Macedonian and Italian tourism (Biella, Italy) Tourist guide license (Association of Tourist guides of Macedonia) I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Let me help you create your first impression about the city of Skopje. Let me tell you all about the legends, the stories, all the historical and cultural facts about my beloved birthplace. We'll step into the new part of the city first, where we are going to learn what happened to Skopje in recent past. The part of our city that witnesses for it's rebirth from the ruins in the earthquake in 1963. We'll walk through the same streets which used to be the heart of the city, where all the locals gathered and where they would find their soulmate. Today the situation is similar, in a more modern way- we have more bars, restaurants, modern boutiques and kitsch architecture. When you'd think you've seen it all, I will show you the invisible border which divides Skopje into two different areas, we'll climb on top of the Kale Fortress , where you have a magnificent view from the whole city, and then we'll roam the tiny narrow streets where you can feel and taste all the sounds, colors and smells of the old Bazaar
10:00 AM We will meet in your hotel, hostel or the place that you will decide - The tour starts in front of the Macedonia Gate and from there we will continue to - Mother Theresa museum - Pedestrian street Macedonia - Old railway station - The Macedonia square - The Stone Bridge - Square Phillip II - The Old Bazaar - Daut Pasha Hamam (we are not going inside) - Kapan An - Bezisten - Cifte Hamam (we are not going inside) - Holy Saviour church (the church is closed on Mondays) - Mustafa Pasha Mosque - Fortress Kale - After the fortress, we will finish the tour at the same place where we met. *This tour can be customized to fit your preferences - please inquire!

We will move through the city by walk. That's also the only way to explore the old part of the city.
