I am a third generation certified guide. I have been working in this business for more then 20 years (as a tour guide, a tour leader, a translator and the tour organizer). I have experience as a tour leader abroad (Turkey, Egypt). I also took part in the conference dedicated to Baalbek in Aix-en-Provence (France) in 2018. I enjoy showing my native city (Baalbeck) and my lovely country to our visitors , and make them love Lebanon as much as I do. It is amazing how many historical places and attractions are in this small country. Everyone can find something they will like here: from world-famous ancient temples and medieval fortresses to modern buildings, from dizzying mountain landscapes and serpentines to spectacular sea views, from the vibrant quarters of Beirut to the secluded quiet streets of traditional Lebanese towns. Being at the crossroads of great civilizations, every meter of my country is steeped in centuries-old history, which I would like to share with my tourists. I conduct my tours in a easy simple way to give my clients the opportunity to feel and enjoy the places and sites. Also during the tour I try, if possible, to acquaint tourists with locals and their life. I want to fully reveal the spirit of my country not only through sightseeing, but also by exploring Lebanese cuisine and customs. Overview of your Beirut tour
The cities of Tyre and Sidon (Saida) are full of archaeological treasures. Both cities are known since ancient times as the most important trading centers of Phoenicia. Many times conquered and destroyed, however, they have survived to the present day as two pearls in the chain of Lebanese coastal cities. I will be pleased not only to tell you the interesting centuries-long history of Tyre and Sidon, but also to guide you through the narrow streets of the Bazaar (souqs), where we will also learn about the secrets of the production of local olive soap. During this tour we will visit the Sea castle in Saida (built by the Crusaders), a Bazaar (souqs), a factory for the manufacture of soap, caravan-serail . In Tyre we will visit two archaeological sites with remains of Roman and Byzantine times: Al-Mina site with an agora, a colonnaded road, a mosaic street and Roman bathhouse and Al-Bass site with a huge archway, a Roman hippodrome and a vast funerary complex. You will visit the area where Jesus walked.
