Let's discover a day tour which you will remember for the rest of your life Baalbeck or Heliopolis (city of the Sun), located in the Bekaa Valley 85 km away from Beirut. It makes up the largest and best preserved Roman architecture left around. Constructed between the first and the third centuries A. D. , this religious complex comprises 3 temples, dedicated to Jupiter, Bacchus and Venus. Anjar was built by the Omayyad Caliph al- Walid Ibn Abdel Malek in the early 8th century A. D. Located on the old route linking the Bekaa Valley with Damascus, Today the name of Gerrah is retained in the word 'Anjar' which means 'source of Gerrah' (Ain Gerrah). Ksara is one of Lebanon's oldest wineries where thousands of old wine bottles are preserved. Take a stroll through the caves and learn about the various processes involved in wine production before savouring a wine tasting
