Day Trip from Beirut: Jeita grottoes, Harissa & Byblos

If you were to travel back in time to explore Jeita Grotto and Byblos, you would witness firsthand the incredible natural and cultural wonders that have made these places so beloved by visitors throughout history. You would see the grotto as it was thousands of years ago, with its underground lakes and rivers, and the stalactites and stalagmites forming over centuries. You would also see Byblos as it was in ancient times, with its bustling port and thriving trade, and the various civilizations that have left their mark on the city over the centuries. Our journey begins with the visit of Jeita Grotto, a series of interconnected limestone caves located in the Nahr al-Kalb valley, about 18 kilometers north of Beirut. The grotto is divided into two main sections, the upper and lower galleries, which are filled with stunning stalactites and stalagmites, underground lakes, and waterfalls. We will be enchanted by its various chambers and marvel at the natural formations.
