On the footsteps of Jesus Christ

Lebanon, a country rich in history and culture, is blessed with several sites that are believed to be on the footsteps of Jesus Christ. One such significant location is Qana, a village in southern Lebanon. According to biblical accounts, it is here that Jesus performed his first miracle, turning water into wine during a wedding feast. Qana is considered a sacred place by Christians, and visitors can explore the site and imagine the miracle that took place there. Another notable site is the ancient city of Tyre, where Jesus is believed to have visited and performed miracles. Tyre was an important port city during biblical times. Visitors can walk along the ancient streets, and contemplate the presence of Jesus in this ancient city. Additionally, the town of Maghdouche, located in southern Lebanon, is home to the Shrine of Our Lady of Mantara. According to tradition, it is believed that Jesus and the Virgin Mary rested in a cave in Maghdouche during their journey through the region.
