Full Day Baalbek City Tour

As a native of Baalbeck it was always my dream to make this kind of tour-Baalbeck full day city tour. Most of tourists combine Baalbek with other destinations, but after my long experience , I got the feeling, that its better to see one city with a such huge archaeological complex during one day, instead of visiting in a hurry several cities . In Baalbeck there is not only the famous temple complex, but also other interesting attractions, which I would like to show you. During the tour we will see some hidden parts of Baalbeck: along with the old ruins, the modern city life, locals and will try traditional food. The tour program includes visiting of: the quarry, where the megaliths were cut for the temples (with the Stone of pregnant woman); the temple of Jupiter; the temple of Bacchus; the temple of Venus; medieval ruins; the Palmyra hotel (the oldest hotel in the middle East); the Baalbeck's souks (where you can taste local dishes and sweets) and on request-some Baalbeck's mosques and churches.

departure from Beirut , I suggest to start 8 30 am , but I am flexible to start earlier or later. -arrival to Baalbeck. (2h road). - visiting the quarry (30mn), medieval ruins (30 min) and temples( 2 h). - visiting the city souk's with lunch in local restaurant (1h 30 mn). -on request-visiting of some mosques or churches in Baalbeck (30 min) -departure from Baalbeck -arrival to Beirut(2h road).
