The Heritage Tour

let's follow the footprints of Lebanese princes and go back in time to 17th and 18th century. Located southeast of Beirut, Chouf region comprises a narrow coastal strip of Damour, and the valleys and mountains of the western slopes of Jabal Barouk, on which the largest forest of Cedars of Lebanon is found. The Emirs of Lebanon used to have their residence in Chouf, most notably Bachir Chehab II, who built the magnificent palace of Beiteddine during the first half of the 19th century. Another historical town, just facing Beiteddine, is Deir al Qamar known as the capital of Emirs with prince Fkahreddine Maani II .

Departure at 09:00 am from Beirut heading to Mount Lebanon, - visiting Deir el Qamar the capital of Lebanese princes and one of national Heritage villages for its typical houses where we will see the Meidan(main square), fountain and mosque from 14th century ad, caravansary, lady of Deir el Qamar church, and panoramic view, - then going to Beiteddine palace of Emir Bachir 18th century A.
