Overview of your Nairobi tour

Named for the intense geothermal activity within its boundaries, Hell's Gate National Park is a remarkable quarter of the Great Rift Valley. Spectacular scenery including the towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrub clad volcanoes and belching plumes of geothermal steam make it one of the most atmospheric parks in Africa. Very ideal venue for a day trip from Nairobi where, in addition to the bio-diversity that includes raptors, visitors can enjoy mountain biking, rock climbing and a natural spa at an extra cost. African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson's gazelle and baboons are common. The park is also home to klipspringer antelope and Chandler's mountain reedbuck. There is also a prolific birdlife -there are over 100 species of birds in the park including vultures, Verreaux's Eagles, augur buzzard and swifts. We shall combine this tour with a visit to lake Naivasha where you can take a boat ride and enjoy the serenity of this fresh water lake

Your Nairobi tour itinerary

- You will be picked from your Nairobi hotel by 0700 hrs and head towards the Great Rift Valley to Hell's Gate, 2hrs away from Nairobi. - On the way you will stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint and if weather permits you will have a view of Longonot, a dormant volcanic mountain. - You will drive around the park upon arrival and later have lunch at an extra cost in one of the lake's resorts. Relax and then you can have a boat ride in Lake Naivasha before heading back to Nairobi. Drop off at your Nairobi hotel. This tour has a lot of options to explore. . . for those who are physically fit we can shorten the game drive and we can walk through the gorges and thereafter go swimming at the natural spa within the park (extra cost).
