The traditional techniques of swordsmiths are still used today to produce high-quality kitchen knives. Let's visit the Seki Traditional Swordsmith Museum to learn how Japanese swords are made and see beautiful blades. Next to the museum is Seki Kasuga Shrine, which is dedicated to the guardian deity of swordsmiths. You will also explore the Feather Museum, themed around cutting and shaving. At the Gifu Seki Cutlery Hall, you can see hundreds of kitchen knives and even try a knife-sharpening experience. (This activity may not be available at times.) The Seki Traditional Swordsmith Museum admission fee: 300 yen. One-way highway bus fare: 1,200 yen. Buses run only about once an hour, so please be careful with the schedule.
