We had a wonderful visit to Nagoya with Kumi as our guide. Her English is perfect and she was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited. She took us to possibly the best lunch we had during our Japan trip. It was a local place that served a delicious pork cutlet with miso. After our tours, Kumi placed on the correct train and sent us back to the cruise port. She checked back to make sure we made our connection. She was so sweet. We can recomment Kumi 100%!
Kumi was terrific! We had such a lovely time in Nagoya. We speak no Japanese, Kumi interpreted and explained many customs and places so well, we felt like family. We met Kumi at our cruise terminal promptly and with much confirmation communication. No fuss, no stress. Tours by Locals is quickly becoming my favorite private tour company because of quality tours and guides like Kumi.
What a wonderful tour with Kumi! We had a half day in Nagoya and wanted to see the Toyota museum and Morikami Museum and gardens. Kumi took such wonderful care of us meeting us at the train station and guiding us to the different sites, as well as making sure we caught our outbound train. We had blast at lunch as well! The tour company communication was excellent, and having a professional guide made all the difference. I would recommend this tour (and Kumi especially!) with 5 plus plus stars!
Moka is a delight and an outstanding tour guide. We missed the meeting location and she was able to track us down, quickly. Her enthusiasm is contagious and we were up for adventures. Moka made traveling through her city on public transportation, a breeze. We enjoyed amazing vistas of Nagoya Castle (currently closed for renovations) and Samurai homes that are exquisite. Next to Toyota Factory and its beginnings. Thank you, Moka for an amazing day.
