Hello and welcome to Japan! My name is Yuko and I was born in Osaka, but I lived in a number of different places throughout the years. I resided in Tokyo as a youngster, and then I went abroad for over a decade, living in Los Angles, USA and later in New Zeland. I currently live in Nagoya, but I often visit my hometown of Osaka and nearby Kyoto for work and for fun. I love travelling and learning about the places I visit, as well as meeting new people through delivering tours in Japan, my native land. I’ve been guiding foreign visitors to Japan for a couple of years, as well as Japanese people who come to Nagoya. My goal as a guide is to have my visitors discover things they never knew about Japan, especially about local culture, and to make wonderful memories during our time together. I'd love to show you the heart of Japan, and since I am also a professional piano player, I would be glad to take you to an amazing music club if you're a jazz or pop music enthusiast!

On this tour, you'll discover the fascinating history of the Toyota Group, one of Japan's most famous and successful enterprises ever, by visiting its engaging museum. You'll learn how this pioneering company shaped modern Japan while exploring the evolution of looms and automobile technology. But long before the modern era, a timeless Japanese tradition has withstood the test of time: ceramics. I'll help you get immersed in the rich history & vibrant culture of this captivating craft, showing you the exquisite techniques and artistry displayed in Noritake no Mori, a decades-old cottage surrounded by greenery. There's a beautiful café here where you could enjoy a bite to eat or a refreshment outdoors, while admiring the beautiful Noritake Garden—perfect for a lovely day! And this is not the only tranquil oasis we'll visit together; I'll also take you to Atsuta Shrine, where peace and beauty intertwine, allowing you to connect with Japan's spiritual heritage.
- Once we've gathered at an agreed-upon spot, we'll go into the closest subway station and depart to the Atsuta Shrine, one of Japan's most revered Shinto shrines and the second most important in the country. -After visiting the shrine, we'll once again take the subway to Noritake Garden. -Once we've seen everything the garden has to offer, we'll head to the Toyota Industrial Technology Center, which is located nearby. -If your appetite strikes here, I suggest you try the famous Toyota Automobile Museum curry and Nagoya's famous miso cutlet dish! You could even buy some curry to bring with you. -We'll wrap up our adventure back at Nagoya Station or at your hotel, making it easy for you to continue exploring!
