My name is Eiko. When I was in my twenties, I worked as a cabin attendant for an international airline. I've traveled around the world and visited more than 30 countries. It's been a while since then, and most things are vague at the back of my mind, but I still clearly remember small talks exchanged with locals, and interesting stories I heard from guides. Some personal touch goes the extra mile and makes your trip special. I would like to be a guide to be remembered and make you smile whenever you cast your mind back to the trip to Japan. While raising two daughters, I studied English hard to be a teacher and an interpreter. I enjoy being a teacher and I realized that I like talking and get to know people. I worked as an interpreter in business world as well. I certainly enjoyed the job, but now I want to do something different. Guiding a tour has been my dream job, but I was always too busy, then COVID 19 pandemic came. A lot of my work is gone, and I am not as busy as I used to. Now that I think the COVID 19 was a blessing in disguise. It has given me a chance to be a tour guide. Also, I've turned 60. Sixty is an important age in Japan and many leave their job and start to have more relaxing life, as we believe that we are reborn at the age of 60. Look at my birthday picture. Wearing a red vest and a cap to show that you are a baby again! Red-chan means "baby" in Japanese. I would like to start my new life being a guide and get to know more people from abroad. Our best tour yet. Nagoya was wonderful, great food, impressive castle, great vibrant city. But we most enjoyed our tour guide Eiko. She was extremely friendly and kind to us. Very professional with a lot of knowledge and materials prepared so that we could understand the history of the city and its importance on the history of Japan. We saw everything we had planned and enjoyed an amazing meal in a nice restaurant. She embraced our group and our culture and we bonded as new friends. I recommend 100% Eiko for your next adventure in Nagoya.

Eiko-San is the best tour guide ever! This was my first time to Nagoya and she led an incredibly fun, memorable and insightful tour for me. She made my parents and I smile so much throughout the entire day. She is as knowledgeable as she is kindhearted and we absolutely loved having her as our tour guide. We had a a Fabulous personalized tour of Nagoya with our professional guide Eiko! We met her at the Nagoya castle which we toured the grounds and went thru the “home of the Shogun”- a huge property with the home meticulously rebuilt in the original style. . FYI - The castle is NOT open for visitors as it is under a City dispute . Eiko is very knowledgable, speak excellent English and is SO kind and thoughtful … we felt so comfortable with her the minute we met her. It was like hanging out with a good friend! We then took subway along with Eiko “holding our hands” into town for a wonderful authentic Japanese lunch at Yappari steaks which was perfect for us… Japans fast food but heathly and good quality at a great price! Plus we get such a kick out of grilling our own meats followed by some shopping and site seeing in the town. You’ll be lucky if you can book her for your tour!
Your Nagoya tour itinerary
The tour can include places like Token Sword Museum, just opened in May of 2024, Okazaki Castle, 40 min. Toyokawa Inari, Korankei Gorge, Tokoname Winery 60min. away from Nagoya, and Takayama or Shirakawago, 3hrs away. We need to exchange several messages to finalize the plan but I will try to make best deal possible for your requests.
