Benvenuti! I'm Daniela, a passionate local guide specializing in Venice, Vicenza and the stunning Palladian Villas. I offer a variety of tailored tours across the Veneto Region, catering to first-time visitors as well as returning travelers eager to explore hidden gems beyond the usual tourist routes. My goal is to create a truly personalized experience, unveiling the beauty, history, and fascinating stories that make this Region so unique. With a deep love for history and fine arts, I have spent years immersing myself in the rich heritage, traditions and folklore of Veneto. I hold a specialization in contemporary Venetian history and have pursued a master's degree at Venice University, focusing on the history and art of this extraordinary city. As a true local, I take great pride in sharing my passion with my guests. Whether it’s a sightseeing adventure through my favorite spots, an off-the-beaten-path exploration, or a delightful food and wine tour, I craft experiences that go beyond the ordinary. Being a true "foodie," I love discovering authentic restaurants where you can savor traditional Italian flavors. I love working with independent travelers, building a friendly and informal connection with my guests. Flexibility is key, I enjoy adapting itineraries to match their interests, sometimes uncovering secret gardens or hidden gems along the way. In the end, every tour becomes a unique and personalized experience, shaped by the mood and passions of my guests. I truly love what I do, and I consider myself incredibly lucky to share my passion with others. Enjoy a typical day like the "vicentini" do! Come with me, a true local guide and I'll make you discover all the hidden spots and Italian traditions. We'll walk in the city center switching between a good Italian coffee with a homemade cake and the beautiful Venetian palaces of Vicenza. We'll visit the typical local market with its lively and colourful atmosphere, hanging around the stalls of fresh fruit and vegetable. From a taste of bacalà (our traditional food made with dried stockfish and olive oil) and the Basilica of Palladio we'll have a delicious lunch prepared in one of the most ancient "ostaria" (Bistrot), finishing on demand with the visit of the Olympic Theatre of Palladio. Spend half a day in Vicenza like a real vicentino, eating in our everyday Bistrot being surrounded by the Palladian art!
-We'll start from Piazza delle Erbe, a secondary square behind the Basilica of Palladio. We'll walk on the ancient Roman paths of Vicenza to get to the old river port area, full of gothic Venetian palaces. -On demand, we can then visit the Teatro Olimpico, Palladio's masterpiece. -We'll sightsee the small charming streets of Vicenza to get finally in the main square, Piazza dei Signori. -Between a monument and the following, we'll do greedy stop-overs to taste delicacies and traditional food from the area, i. e. : 1) a pasticceria (pastry shop) with coffee or cappuccino or tea and a slice of homemade cake 2) a typical snack called cicchetto (similar to tapas) with a glass of Venetian wine 3) an aperitive made with spritz 4) A main meal (lunch or dinner) with: a main course (bigoli, a special kind of homemade spaghetti with duck or meat sauce), water and wine, homemade traditional dessert.
