Only for the brave : -) Vicenza at dawn

If you don't mind an early start, experience with me the magic of Vicenza at dawn on a 2.5-hour-walking tour through the quiet, sun-kissed streets of the historic center. The city awakens slowly before the crowds arrive. The early morning light turns the white stone buildings into shades of soft amber and pink. At the end of the tour, treat yourself to a sumptuous breakfast at your hotel, or order a cappuccino and a croissant at any bar of the old town – the typical Italian breakfast

We will meet at Piazza dei Signori, Vicenza's main square, where the 2 columns are. I will disclose to you the ancient story of the main buildings of the square, the real masterpiece, namely the Basilica Palladiana, and the majestic red building of the former premises of Venice's executive power on the mainland, namely the Loggia del Capitaniato. We will then visit: - our Cathedral (from outside) accompanied by an account of some brutal events from the past centuries - some "palazzi" (palaces) of the 15th century in Venetian style, (from outside) - And from Ponte S. Paolo - a former roman bridge - and Ponte S. Michele, the "Rialto-style" bridge just opposite, we will enjoy a stunning view of the surrounding area - End usually at Piazza dei Signori.
