I was born in Vicenza, a beautiful town in the magnificent Land of Venice, where I have been an official guide for more than 20 years. I love sharing my passion for the region where I live: in particular, as an Art Historian I enjoy manufacturing customized cultural tours among the Palladian villas and in the amazing city of Vicenza. Select one of the tours listed below or contact me, so we can design a taylor-made one just for you. For me, it is not just a guide's knowledge that makes a tour successful, but also their personality and sensitivity to your needs and wants. Let yourself be guided with a smile. Degree in Cultural Heritage Preservation at the University of Venice "Ca' Foscari" PhD in Art History at the University of Venice "Ca' Foscari" Erasmus Project, researcher for the National Centre for Researches in Lyon (France) Qualified tourist guide since 2000. (National Official Guides' Register # 05000333) Qualified tour leader (global) since 2010. As a qualified tourist guide, I am allowed to guide to any landmark and interior. Driving: when not specified, transport is available only on demand.

The walled towns of Bassano and Marostica perfectly represent the peaceful sceneries one can only find in Italy. My tour flows among immortal love stories, Great War and grappa tastings. Marostica's famous Chess Square reminds us of a love story: a noble knight won his wife's love thanks to his skill in a famous chess match, that was publicly played in the main square (still set as a gigantic chessboard just outside its magnificent Medieval castle). After a 10 minutes taxi drive, we arrive in Bassano, where one can taste the original liquor grappa at a local historical grapperia and stroll on the Palladian wooden bridge. The city is also a remembrance landmark: during World War I Bassano was in the front area, where thousands of soldiers lost their lives. Ernest Hemingway spent many days in Bassano and eventually settled there the incipit of "A Farewell to Arms". The ancient estate where the "Harvard's Poets" were hosted during the war can be added on demand.
Pleasant city walk in Marostica and Bassano del Grappa, including the Chess Square, the castle, the Old Bridge. Upon request: free grappa tasting (up to 10 people), Villa Ca' Erizzo (Hemingway Museum) This tour can be combined with a tour in Asolo and the Palladian Villas of the Prosecco Area (tour #8256) for a full-day experience Please contact me for customization.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
You can reach Bassano and Marostica by car. There is also a good train transportation service from Venice. I am not a driver but can provide a driver and a car upon request. The kind of vehicle depends on the number of people and on the distance.
