Benvenuti! I'm Daniela, a passionate local guide specializing in Venice, Vicenza and the stunning Palladian Villas. I offer a variety of tailored tours across the Veneto Region, catering to first-time visitors as well as returning travelers eager to explore hidden gems beyond the usual tourist routes. My goal is to create a truly personalized experience, unveiling the beauty, history, and fascinating stories that make this Region so unique. With a deep love for history and fine arts, I have spent years immersing myself in the rich heritage, traditions and folklore of Veneto. I hold a specialization in contemporary Venetian history and have pursued a master's degree at Venice University, focusing on the history and art of this extraordinary city. As a true local, I take great pride in sharing my passion with my guests. Whether it’s a sightseeing adventure through my favorite spots, an off-the-beaten-path exploration, or a delightful food and wine tour, I craft experiences that go beyond the ordinary. Being a true "foodie," I love discovering authentic restaurants where you can savor traditional Italian flavors. I love working with independent travelers, building a friendly and informal connection with my guests. Flexibility is key, I enjoy adapting itineraries to match their interests, sometimes uncovering secret gardens or hidden gems along the way. In the end, every tour becomes a unique and personalized experience, shaped by the mood and passions of my guests. I truly love what I do, and I consider myself incredibly lucky to share my passion with others. Overview of your Vicenza tour

In just 40 minutes from Venice you can get to know an authentic gem: the city of Vicenza, a real pearl to discover in a half day or a full day private tour. This is the city where I was born and which immediately imparted to me the true sense of beauty and harmony. And all this thanks to its magnificent palaces built during the Renaissance by the most famous architect of the time: Andrea Palladio. Yes, he's the same that Thomas Jefferson was also passionate about, who inspired him to build his home in Monticello (VA), the University of Virginia. Palladio's most famous Villa Rotonda was architect Hoban's main source from which he created the White House in Washington D. C. And all of this you can find it in Vicenza! Come with me to get bewitched by this surprising city: you will be guided by a real local guide to see Palladio's main palazzi, the charming squares and the unique Olympic Theater.

Your Vicenza tour itinerary

Through a pleasurable walk in the cobbled streets of the ancient historic center, we will visit the main Palladian architectures, for example: - palazzo Chiericati: its white classical colonnade catches the visitors eye from far away - palazzo Barbaran Da Porto, now the seat of the Palladian Museum, extremely useful for understanding the Architect's genius - the Palladian Basilica, named in 2014 a National Monument. On the ground floor a treasure chest of goldsmith art: here you'll find the most beautiful goldsmith's shops of the town - the church of Santa Corona decorated with canvas by Bellini and Paolo Veronese - the unique Olympic Theater: with its incredible trompe-l'œil onstage scenery it's the oldest surviving stage set still in existence, a real MUST-SEE! You'll be amazed by the number of elegant streets, cafés and romantic corners you can find in Vicenza. Together with the Palladian villas, Vicenza is a Unesco World Heritage site.
