Overview of your Vicenza tour
Join me in this fascinating 2.5-hour-walking tour in the old town . I grew up in this enchanting tiny town and would love to show you my favourite spots: we will stroll together through the streets of Vicenza's old town - a UNESCO World Heritage town since 1994 - in search of beauty, wonder, history. With me you will discover its enchantment: my guides are not just dates and numbers, but stories you can immerse yourself in; we will weave warp and weft to create a very special fabric: the history of a particular monument, combined with the history of the people who built that monument and the city in which it is located.
Your Vicenza tour itinerary
We will meet in front of the iron gate of the Teatro Olimpico, just beside the ticket office. We will then visit: - our "jewel of the Renaissance", the Teatro Olimpico (visit of the interiors). - the Church of Santa Corona originally built to guard the relics of the holy crown of Christ (from outside). - some "palazzi" (palaces) of the 15th century in Venetian style, (from outside) - other Palladian masterpieces such as the main monuments on Piazza dei Signori (from outside) - End usually at Piazza dei Signori. As with every ToursByLocals tour, this tour is of course customisable. This tour does not include a stop for lunch, however if you would like to factor that in, please contact me. Othewise I will be happy to recommend some amazing places for lunch.
