Hello! My name is Cristina and I'm a well - experienced tour guide since 2000, and besides, I am a tour leader since 2004. I use to take groups all around my wonderful island. I live in Lipari, the largest of the seven Aeolian islands in the north-eastern Sicily. I like travelling and I'm a trekking lover. I have a degree in Foreign Languages from the University of Messina, I speak English and French very well but I also speak Spanish fluently. From 2015 to 2021, I've been the president of the Association of Tourist guides called "Guide Turistiche Eolie Messina Taormina". I really enjoy doing my job and the advantage of it is changing itineraries every day: one day can be a guided tour of Lipari, so the typical magic condition of a little island or the day after, the fascinating environment of a visit to Mount Etna, the big volcano. Sicily is rich in archaeological sites, wonderful churches, small villages to discover or cities with an enormous artistic heritage. I enjoy illustrating the treasures of my region to anyone who decides to visit it. Not only history and monuments but also traditions, gastronomy and everyday life. I am lucky to guide travellers to the discovery of outstanding places such as the Aeolian Islands, Messina, Taormina, Etna, Catania and many more. Explore Sicily as a local, let's do it toghether! Taormina is one of my favourite sites in Sicily, I like to take people here because it's a summary of what you can find all over Sicily. Visiting it, you'll learn of the history, culture and traditions of all the island. So, let's discover it together! Let's stroll down its narrow streets in the town centre, admire the view over Mount Etna and the sea below. In the end, we reach the Ancient Theatre. In front of us a breath-taking view: the remains of the Roman stage frames Mount Etna and the sea with the bay of Naxos. Further down, the town and its buildings grouped along the main street. And, higher up, the church of the Madonna della Rocca and Castelmola. A perfect postcard!
Cristina is a wonderful guide! She is professional and personable. She knows Italian history and shares it well. Our walking tour of Taormina was not difficult. It included the Greco/Roman theatre, a stop for Italian sweets and ended with the best foccacia and arancini ever! Thank you Cristina! We would definitely recommend this tour.

The tour starts from the agreed place in Taormina. This is a walking tour to discover first Taormina's main street, the Corso Umberto. Here we'll see and visit: The Cathedral square; The viewpoint square; The ancient agorà The second part of the tour is a visit of te Ancient Theatre.
