Mt Etna Guided Tour Full Day, Highlight of Taormina with Private Transportation

If there is such thing as infinite stars, Rosario deserves them all! He is super knowledgeable, funny,, and flexible. It was like touring with a family member (to whom your are endeared). From the moment he picked us up, Rosario shared not only incredible information; but also his love of Etna itself. He is a true master of his craft and is a must not miss should you be on the Etna side of Sicily. Should we return to Sicily in the future, we will definitely take a tour with Rosario again! Bellissimo!

We cannot thank Rosario enough! He was incredibly knowledgeable about volcanoes, and even though I thought we'd been to a lot of them, all over the world, we learned so much during this trip. He was much better prepared for the trip than we were, and had helmets and jackets so we could hike into a lava tube. And he took us to a wonderful little town at the foothills of Mt Etna for a pick-me-up espresso and pastry before we started the ascent.

Rosario provided us an absolutely outstanding day visiting Mt. Etna and the area around Taormina. He is very accommodating, personable and highly informative. We learned an enormous amount from him about the history and culture of Sicily; but, perhaps the most impressive aspect of the tour was Rosario’s in-depth knowledge of geology, in which, it turns out he is formally trained. He took great pains to sort out whether the cable car to the upper levels of Mt. Etna would permit us views of anything but clouds (they would not; so we did not exercise that option). Not least importantly, given the challenges of the roads in the area, Rosario is an excellent driver. For anyone interested in an excellent day on Mt. Etna, I give Rosario’s tour my most enthusiastic recommendation.
