I have been working as a guide in my homeland, Sicily, for over six years. Before that, I spent five years in Australia working as a private driver and tour guide. Here, ancient lava flows have created a spectacular canyon of basalt rock carved by the crystal-clear waters of the Alcantara River. During our visit, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a short river trek inside the gorge and admire this unique landscape from up close. 🍇 Our journey then continues to Castiglione di Sicilia, one of Italy’s most beautiful villages, nestled between Mount Etna and the Alcantara Valley. Rich in history, charm, and breathtaking views, this medieval town is also famous for producing some of the finest Etna wines. We will explore its historic center and visit the beautiful Basilica of Madonna della Catena before ending the day at a local winery. There, you will enjoy a guided wine tasting paired with a light lunch while discovering the unique flavors of Etna’s volcanic terroir. ✨ A perfect blend of nature, culture, and authentic Sicilian wine.
The Godfather Tour! The weather wasn't too kind today, but Vito's enthusiasm and humour brought the tour to life. This was our final tour with Vito and we were all very sad to say goodbye. Our group is quite diverse and our teenage son is autistic, and all five of us loved Vito. It felt just like saying goodbye to a member of the family. Thank you Vito xxx
Vittorio was a great guide. He was thoughtful, considerate and knowledgeable. We enjoyed being with him and enjoyed the adventure in the canyon as well as the lovely lunch and wine. We ordered some wine and olive oil to be shipped back to the U.S. and have enjoyed both since coming home.
The group had a wonderful time! We still talk about the experience a year later. The fact we still can recall and laugh about wonderful tasting menu a year later tells you how memorable it was. The wine is long gone in case anyone was curious.
