What an amazing day we had! Fabrizio came early to pick us up at the port since it was farther than Pompeii. He is so knowledgeable and kind. He could answer all my questions and knew the best secrets to see. I cannot recommend him enough and hope to return to the area to explore more. What a fantastic tour. Fabrizio really brought Herculaneum to life, and was immediately able to answer all of our questions. The relationships among the different social strata, how the wealthier merchants spent their holidays there, why some died while others lived. There’s simply nothing better than having an expert guide for a very small group. It was a really fun and educational morning with a personable and professional guide. We couldn’t be happier.
The six of us who took this private tour with Fabrizio all agreed that this was the most memorable one of our whole cruise. He was able to make the whole story of Herculaneum come alive…. from its daily life through its destruction in 79 A.D. His expertise and archaeology enhanced the guided tour he gave us. He presented it in a way that made both the daily life other people who live there and the horror of the destruction come alive. Fabrizio also arranged a trip to a beautiful family winery on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius, where we had a tour and a delicious lunch with wine pairings. we hope to book a tour with Fabrizio the next time we visit Naples.
Our morning with Fabrizio exceeded my expectations. His vehicle was spacious and comfortable and he even has a microphone so everyone in the car could hear clearly. Big Bonus! He did not wait until we arrived at Herculaneum to begin sharing his wealth of knowledge. His bio states he speaks several languages and for my English friends his English is very clear. I point that out as I've had some guides with heavy accents that make it difficult to understand. Don't hesitate to choose Fabrizio as your guide!

• We begin with private transport to Herculaneum and enter with pre-booked tickets for a smooth and hassle-free start. • From the panoramic terrace above the site, we enjoy a spectacular first view of the ancient city lying 75 feet below modern street level, with Mount Vesuvius in the background — ideal for photos. • Below us is the ancient marina, where more than 300 skeletons were discovered near a Roman boat, revealing the dramatic final moments of the city. • We then explore the main highlights of Herculaneum, including the bath-house, the gymnasium, elegant private homes such as the House of the Stags and the House of the Bicentenary, as well as ancient shops and taverns that illustrate daily Roman life.
