Ciao! I'm Paolo, I'm from the beautiful land of Sorrento, I've been in the tourism business since the age of 16 and after a Degree in Communications, I became a fully qualified and licensed Archaeological Tour Guide of the Campania Region in 2014. I'm a native English Speaker completely in love with the area I was born in, live and guide in: Capri, Sorrento, Pompei, Ercolano, Positano, and Amalfi are only some of the beauties of this magical place I call "home". I think living in a privileged place like this inspires two different needs: the desire of protecting it in the way you can, but also the desire of sharing with others the beauty you live in (possibly in the most respectful way possible!) This is one of the main reasons why I started working as a tour guide to start off with, and this is the reason why I still try to do it with the same energy and passion as the first day. A long time ago (I'm getting old!) I decided I wanted to be a tour guide and did all I could to achieve the result. I love this job as much as I love the interaction with guests, sharing stories, and learning about different cultures while having the possibility of being a small ambassador of my Region. I really feel that responsibility! I once promised myself: "if I ever end up sounding like an audioguide, that will be the day I must have the awareness of saying "enough!" and I'm trying my best to make sure that moment never comes!
