Let's discover Herculaneum in a 2 hours walking tour

I Highly recommend Felicia for a personalized, knowledgeable, and well-organized private tour of both Pompeii and Herculaneum. My husband and I took both the Pompeii and Herculaneum tours with Felicia on back-to-back days in early September. We wanted to use the same guide for both sites for continuity and to build some familiarity, and we are happy we had this experience with Felicia. Communication before the tours was very easy through the website messaging and then WhatsApp closer to the tour dates. We visited Herculaneum on day two, which felt like the right order for seeing the two sites. Felicia’s background as an archaeological restorer and art historian added so much color to our experience and helped bring the daily lives of the people there to life. She offered a fresh and poignant perspective on Herculaneum and on how the events of Vesuvius can still be understood through the ruins. Felicia is incredibly knowledgeable, but also very approachable. As a tour guide, Felicia is fantastic. She planned our route thoughtfully to accommodate the summer heat, helped us navigate the logistics, and was very personable throughout. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to explore the site and museum. Felicia made the two days truly memorable, and her tours were a highlight of our travels through Italy. We would highly recommend her.

The tour by Felicia was outstanding! She is very very knowledgeable about Ercolano and knew every detail it seemed. Being a Restorer that's worked at the site made it very informative and insightful. We all gave it a double thumbs up and highly recommend!

We were delayed for our tour due to rental car issues and couldn't make our tour the day we had booked. Felicia was incredibly understanding and although she couldn't accommodate us on another day, she and Tours by Locals set us up with an equally fantastic tour guide! We were so relieved to still do the tour and even though we can't rate Felicia for her knowledge (which I've no doubt is excellent) her compassion and assistance for our predicament did not go unnoticed. What a wonderful two hours we spent with Felicia at Herculaneum. We really felt like we got to know the town and something of what it was like to live there two thousand years ago. Felicia has a fantastic knowledge of the area and it's history and speaks such good English that we had no problem talking in detail about the many cultures and civilisations that shaped the area. Well worth every penny.
