Museo Internazionale delle Ceramiche" (2000-2001) I attended a seminar on Contemporary Art, Management and Settings at the Ara Pacis in Rome (2009) According to my country regulation, my guidance is allowed inside museums, archaeological areas, cities and more. This tour consists of a marvellous walk around the ancient Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum, buried in the ashes of the volcano Vesuvius in 79 AD. Yes, I'll be able to show you most of the highlights of both towns! A walk in Pompeii is a very intense experience; you'll have the feeling to be in a town that is still alive. I will tell you about its history and how the Romans used to live, showing you all the most important public buildings and private houses. Herculaneum is much smaller, but even better preserved then Pompeii. While Pompeii had been covered in four to five meters of ashes, an avalanche of muds 20 meters thick had buried Herculaneum: two-storey houses, carbonized wooden objects, paintings and mosaics are still preserved.
