Ciao! I’m Fabrizio – your local guide and driver for Pompeii, Naples, and the Amalfi Coast. Born and raised in Naples, living now in Vico Equense on the Sorrento Coast, I’m passionate about sharing the Beauty, History, Food&Wines and Culture of my region with travelers from all over the world. I’ve been leading tours since 2010: I was the very first ToursByLocals guide in the area, and I’ve loved every moment of this journey! With a Master’s degree in Art History and a Bachelor’s in Archaeology, I bring deep knowledge and enthusiasm to every tour. I studied in Canada, France, and Italy, so I speak fluent English and French, have a good understanding of Spanish and Portuguese, and—just for fun—I’m currently learning Chinese! As a professional guide for over 32 years, I believe every traveler has his own reasons for exploring. My goal is to truly understand what YOU are looking for and tailor the experience to match YOUR interests. Whether it’s a deep dive into ancient ruins, a scenic coastal drive, or a food and wine adventure, I’ll make sure your tour feels personal, relaxed, and memorable. I love sharing Italy’s landscapes, archaeology, and flavors—especially with guests from North America and the UK who appreciate both professionalism and warmth. By the end of the day, I hope you’ll see me not just as your guide, but as a friend. My comfortable 2019 Mercedes V-Class Minivan seats up to seven passengers, perfect for family or small-group tours. You can also join me for classic walking tours or train, or boat excursions. Explore Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast, Herculaneum, Naples, and beyond – your perfect Italian journey starts here! I graduated in Art History at the University of Naples, and I was a student in Ontario, Canada, and in Poitiers, France. I was the first guide ever with ToursByLocals in the area of Naples, starting on 2010. 2021 Archaeology undergraduate, University of Naples Federico II 2013 Professional Commercial Driving License up to 8 passengers 2004 Professional license as a Tour Guide, Campania Region, Italy 2003 Master's Degree in Promotion of Historical Sites, University of Naples, Italy 2002 Graduate in Art History, University of Naples Federico II 2001 Erasmus Exchange Student, University of Poitiers, France 1998 Professional Tour Leader, Provincia di Latina, Italy 1994 AFS Exchange Student, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Others: - Training Course About the Middle Ages, CESCM Poitiers, France - Training corse in Litterature, Aesthetic and Myth, Istituto Italiano Studi Filosofici, Napoli, Italy - Training course for Environmental Education, Oasi Naturalistica del Monte Nuovo, Pozzuoli, Italy

During this relaxed walking tour you’ll see the most charming parts of the city with your local guide, Fabrizio. I live here and I am happy to share my love for this beautiful corner of the world. We’ll stroll through the Old Town, explore peaceful hidden lanes, and enjoy outstanding views of the Bay of Naples from the Gardens of St. Francis. If you wish, we can taste limoncello in a nearby lemon grove or visit an artisan inlaid-wood workshop to see how handcrafted furniture is still made today. Sorrento is perched on dramatic cliffs above its lively marinas, known for sweeping sea views, citrus gardens, and Piazza Tasso — the heart of local life with its cafés and elegant palazzi. As your private guide, I can tailor the pace, duration, and focus of the tour to your interests. Just let me know what you enjoy and I’ll be delighted to help you make the most of your stay in Sorrento.
Our day and the time we start the tour is flexible and is meant to accommodate your schedule and interests. Sorrento is a resort town on a beatiful cliff dominating the bay. Great scenery! There are no must-sees, but many charming corners and views. The walking tour will touch Sorrento main places: Piazza Tasso, Corso Italia, Marina Grande, the Cathedral, the Gardens and Cloister of St Francis. The tour is also aimed at presenting the main products, food and craftmanship of Sorrento. Fabrizio will offer the opportunity to taste limoncello, to visit an inlaid-wood factory, to see how they still carve cameos. Overall a relaxing and enjoyable walk at slow pace.
