Understanding Mumbai (Private Tour in an AC Toyota Innova) | A Deep Dive into the 'Maximum City'

Seeing Mumbai with our guide Priya was a great experience. Priya had a really good grasp of the city's history, the sights and showed us many wonderful points of interest. We were able to visit Gandhi's house and museum, shop some small antique stores, view a beautiful train station, walked the boardwalk by the water and more. Priya also took us to a beautiful restaurant where we enjoyed delicious high-end Indian foods and cocktails. We loved everything about our tour and recommend it to anyone visiting Mumbai, especially if you want to get acquainted with it. The driver also did a great job keeping us safe. Hard to imagine a better guide to Mumbai than Priya. She is simply outstanding! We spent two informative and fun days touring Mumbai with her in comfort by air-conditioned car with her excellent driver, stopping to explore areas on foot. It was like having a most knowledgeable best friend show you her home town! We visited multiple neighborhoods, cultural and historic areas. She took us to two delightful, interesting lunch spots which we wouldn’t have found on our own, and guided the food ordering to our wishes. She filled us in on Mumbai history and Indian cultural, religious and class complexities. She addressed our many questions about Indian politics, culture and psychology. We did a lot! but she had a relaxing paces and it didn’t feel overwhelming. Priya is terrific fun, interesting and very well organized. Hard to imagine a better guide. We recommend her unreservedly.

Priya was so delightful and fun to be with. I’m afraid we didn’t utilize her knowledge of Mumbai as much as we could have but we did appreciate her knowledge of where to shop! Next time we come to Mumbai we’ll have Priya show us more of this interesting city.

We had a wonderful day in Mumbai with Priya. She spent time in advance wanting to understand what our interests were and what we wanted to see in Mumbai, and then she customized the tour to our liking. For example, my daughter is interested in contemporary art, so we stopped at an art gallery to see their latest installation, which was an added treat! I can guarantee that you will enjoy your day with Priya!

We had spent a month in India with Mumbai as our last stop. We had only a day and wanted to experience as much of Mumbai as possible. We had no set 'must see' itinerary in mind and wanted someone to help us experience and savor the city . Priya was a joy! Well beyond the normal tourist stops, she immersed us into the complex and fascinating history of Mumbai and its reflection as the modern cosmopolitan city it is. we walked 15th century neighborhoods , learned the influence of all the peoples of Mumbai from Portuguese to English, Muslim, Hindu, Jain and Parsis , saw the posh and the no so posh living together, and even some Bollywood history and architecture ( who knew Mumbai had so many art deco buildings), She even taught us how to eat the famous Mumbai street food ! We greatly recommend seeing and savoring the masala that is Mumbai with Priya .
