Explore Vadodara your way

At ToursByLocals, we believe that how you explore is just as important as where you go. That’s why every Vadodara tour is private, flexible, and built around you: Move at your own pace, skip the crowds, make connections and follow your curiosity. Find local guides offering private tours in Vadodara for every interest, including:

History tours: Explore Laxmi Vilas Palace with a guide who points out royal armour and stained glass, then visit the Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum and Kirti Mandir for stories of the Gaekwad rulers. With more time, head to the UNESCO‑listed Champaner‑Pavagadh to see Jami Masjid and old stepwells.

Layover tours: With 3–6 hours, your guide can meet you at the airport or station, time your entry to Laxmi Vilas Palace, stroll Sayaji Baug, and grab sev usal in Raopura before a quick stop at Lehripura or Mandvi Gate and a timely drop‑off. Shorter layover tours focus on an exterior palace photo stop and a fast circuit of Mangal Bazar with a snack.

Nature and Wildlife tours: Start at dawn at Wadhvana Wetland to spot winter migratory birds like pelicans, ducks, and harriers with binoculars and a scope provided. Or choose a forest drive in Jambughoda Wildlife Sanctuary to look for langurs, peafowl, and owls, with a picnic by Kada Reservoir.

Central areas are fairly walkable, and you can use auto‑rickshaws and app cabs, but key sights and day trips sit far apart. Ask your local guide about chauffeured tours or tours with private transportation for the most efficient routing.

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all itinerary, you can tailor your private tour to match your interests, pace and personality with a local who knows Vadodara inside and out.
